Quantum Computing and the Blockchain-Toronto QC Meetup

Filed under: Uncategorized — rrtucci @ 4:16 pm

I am very pleased to announce that the Toronto quantum computing Meetup will have their next meeting on July 5 on the subject of the connections between quantum computing and blockchain technologies (this includes crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum but has many other uses). Henning Dekant (CEO of artiste-qb.net) will be hosting the meeting at the Rotman Business School (part of Univ. of Toronto). Toronto has a vibrant community of brilliant programmers interested in blockchain, including some friends of Henning that will be attending. And, as you probably already know, investors large and small from all over the world have already poured billions of dollars into blockchain.

Toronto Quantum Computing Meetup doesn’t disappoint

  2. Hi Wolfgang,
Our company (artiste-qb.net) CEO Henning Dekant, has exactly that planned: a qcoin to be used for blockchain crowdfunding. I will forward this message to him so that he can explain his blockchain wet dreams to you. You already know him from his blog Wavewatching in which I seem to remember you commented on a blog post about Hestenes geometric algebra

  3. Yes, although Henning is a bit too enthusiastic about D-Wave for my taste. (But I concede that D-Wave motivated others to do better …)

  4. We distribute both gate model and Dwave software in bayesforge.com. There is no need for a qc software company to take sides in that war so we don’t. But note our software Qubiter is for gate model . And note Henning came up with the bayesforge idea and wrote most of the code for it.
